Ilya Tarutov, CEO of DAO.Casino:
Thank you very much for your active participation in this first Q&A session. From now on I will do it on a regular basis. We at DAO.Casino value our community members and want to hear their opinion, feedback and promptly update them on new developments and our progress.

1Q: Dao Team is also a company. The DAO protocol is not a fee. Where does the Dao team's revenue come from?
1A: The protocol is free for all our members and the only fee is the Ethereum network “gas” fee. First of all, we are focused on delivering the protocol. Our business model also provides for selling additional B2B services to clients who wish to come on board and start using our protocol. This includes consulting, additional enterprise solutions, assistance in transferring other developers' games to the protocol, etc.
Our wait list for the protocol release is constantly growing. New developers are also waiting for the SDK to be delivered. We are also expecting that after the SDK release the number of developers working with us will increase substantially.
This fall we are planning to hold a hackathon for developers.
2Q: the success of the business part of Dao Casino is that many partners are popularised using the Dao protocol.
(It's better if there is a big casino company using the DAO protocol.)
Ilya Do you have a roadmap for partnerships or companies using the Dao protocol?
For example, How many companies are expected to use until 2018, and how many expect until 19
2A: Our strategy includes such partnerships. This could only begin after our protocol is ready, tested and released. We are talking to many potential partners about future cooperation and will release this information in due course. We are working with them closely to make our product convenient, user-friendly and up to the highest industry standards.
About Protocol Development
3Q: Are you saying that fall is September? Is it October? Please tell me your approximate date. Korea is very hot, but it is already fall.
3A: We are doing our best to release the product as soon as possible. We understand how important it is to our clients and partners. We also understand how important is the quality aspect and let me assure you, that we will not compromise it under no circumstances. Our timeline is set to release it by the end on this October. If there are any changes, we will keep you posted.
4Q: What makes 0.1 version special? What can we expect from this milestone?
4A: The protocol version 0.1 will include smart contracts which will provide it with the functionality stated in the whitepaper: e.g. automatic revenue distribution between parties (casino operators, affiliates and game developers).
We will also release the SDK, which will provide developers with lightweight templates to simplify blockchain games development within DAO.Casino protocol. It will guide them through building and deployment processes. We expect that SDK will significantly decrease the entry level to start using our protocol, and let developers concentrate on game development.
We will provide developers with documentation on how to use the protocol, and showcase sample games which developers will be able to create within the protocol.
We will also announce a sample casino front-end, created with the use of the protocol. It will include a marketplace with game dApps and players' stats, balances and detailed analytics.
5Q: What technologies do you use to create a blockchain-based RNG? Is you RNG even decentralized?
5A: Instead of building a blockchain-based PRNG, we are using Signidice. Signidice is a P2P (peer-to-peer) algorithm designed for pseudo-random number generation.
6Q: When can i play first game using dao.casino protocol ? Can protocol expand to use other type of coin ?
6A: We have already created first games within the Ethereum Test Network. Soon we will publish our Lottery, Slots and Dice to the Ropsten network.
The Ropsten Test Network is mainly used as a testing environment before bringing code onto the Ethereum Main Network.
Regarding the expansion to other blockchains: we are creating a Layer 2 protocol which is transferable to any blockchain. So if we would like to transfer the protocol to another blockchain, another "coins" from that blockchain will be available.
7Q: Will there be a roadmap for things to come? What do you think of the idea of rewarding holders that participated in the ICO as i see 50% of tokens are still being held by the foundation.
7A: We will announce an updated roadmap right after the 0.1 release.
We sold 70% of BET’s during our initial token sale. As we stated that these BETs will be used primarily within our protocol. These tokens are the heart of our ecosystem, the utility tokens, and the demand for BETs, for sure will rise right after the protocol is released.
8Q: Another question of mine is: I remember you guys have been doing a lot of casual games like hack the DAO (yes I am an old member), do you have plans on releasing some casual games? Or maybe having more of these games running on your protocol?
8A: In the past, we already released several casual games to showcase the abilities of the protocol. We are happy to see any new games using our PRNG, the protocol and BET tokens. Shortly, we will publish the documentation with instructions on how to do it. Currently, we are testing the SDK to make sure that it is ready for the release.
Game developers can get in touch with us at email@example.com to get into the wait-list and gain early access to a sandbox. If you have an idea and want to create your game using our protocol, I will be very happy to welcome you. And let me know if you need my personal help.
About Asian region
9Q: Hi Ilya, its a big pleasure to see you back on track. Do you have plans on the Asian market?
9A: The Asian market is of the highest priority to us. Currently, our plan is to test our business model on the European market. We are talking to the Malta Gaming Authority regarding a license for our product. After this, all our efforts will go into developing and establishing our presence in Asia.
If you are based in Asia or have business contacts there among the game developers, we will appreciate it if you will introduce us to them. Let’s discuss our possible operation and how we can help each other. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
