GameNode hackathon passed this weekend at YOTA Arena. GameNode is unique because it is a combination of a conference and a hackathon.

The main topic of GameNode is game development using blockchain technologies. 28 teams were engaged. Several famous blockchain and game development experts participated: Mr. Alexander Zelenschikov, co-founder of Expload, Mr. Richard Grey, a renowned game designer (ex American McGee's Alice and Duke Nukem 3D), Mr. Ilya Karpinsky, Head of Mail.Ru Games Ventures. MRGV organized this hackathon.

Mr. Sergey Pomorin, Game Development Lead at DAO.Casino took part in GameNode. Mr. Pomorin creates games since 2005 and has more than 20 released projects in his portfolio.

For DAO.Casino, GameNode gave a possibility to estimate the value of blockchain-gaming popularity between encouraged developers. GameNode is also a great place to hire talented developers. Our team was inspired by the way, Expload developers organized hackathon participants' work with an SDK.

"I was excited by the number of hackathon participants. They all endeavored to pass all hackathon stages. There were talks about blockchain games, and it was inspiring. I was particularly impressed by the speech of Mr. Anton Agranovsky, Metahash CBDO."- said Mr. Pomorin.

At the end of the hackathon, the jury chose the best projects. Ethernal, RxProject, and NoNameGames took 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the "Best Game" nomination. Mail.Ru Games Ventures will consider investment opportunities in Ethernal's project.
